Texas Bluebonnets
I forgot to add these last time I was on, bluebonnet pictures. We went to Chapel Hill, Texas the Saturday before Easter to check out the bluebonnets and take some pics. We were not the only people out there. We had to climb over bob wire to get into the field. But luckily we didn't get hurt. The kids loved playing in the bluebonnets but were not extremely excited about having their picture taken. Enjoy!

Spring is Here
Name writing
One of Addie's favorite things to do is arts and crafts. She has an entire corner of our pantry devoted to her arts and crafts supplies. When I hear her say I want to do arts and crafts I usually cringe because that means a HUGE mess all over my kitchen. Lately though she is actually starting to be much neater so the arts and crafts projects are happening much more frequently. She is also always full of surprises for me. I have been asking her to write her name for me and she always starts it than gets distracted and moves onto something else. The other day while she was doing her "arts and crafts" she says mommy come look I cringe again thinking what mess am I about to see when I see this.
Mommy I wrote my name. I couldn't believe it! She wrote her name all by herself. I know this might not seem like much to you, but for a former teacher I get really excited about all these type things. We worked on correcting the d's to face the right way and next time her name looked like this.
She also did a little drawing of her family below her name as well!

Paddy Dash
The kids got to participate in their first race this March. Addie was so proud of herself in her "running outfit" and "exercise shoes" just like mommy. The race was St. Patricks day weekend it was called the Paddy Dash. It was so nice because it was right here in town, great weather and only a 5K. Since I was going to be pushing them for my race a 5K was perfect. I don't think they would get along in the stroller longer than that. Their race was a 50 yard dash. They even handed out medals to all kids for finishing. This is Addie letting you know she is number 1!

Circus and Cousins
It's been a while since I have been on here so I thought I should play catch up. March was a great month here. Weather was extremely strange. One Friday night we were sweating watching a circus in a tent then that Sunday it snowed 5 inches. Crazy !

This is my new nephew Trent. He is six years old. My brother married a beautiful girl named Lindsey in November and she has a little boy. We are all so excited about the family growing and the new Aunt and cousin. They came to visit us for the weekend and we took them to the circus. It was of those circuses you see on TV where the elephants are running through the crowd. We were up close and personal to all the action. Thank goodness all the animals stayed on the stage!!!

Addie is starting to become a little braver, she has always been pretty cautious about things. We were shocked when she got on the pony and rode it. She loved it, as you can tell she is proud of herself.

Our Cousin Hunter also came to visit. I love this picture of him and Court at the park. I can't believe it was taken with my iphone!
By the way here is a picture of our backyard two days after we were sweating at the circus!
