Addie turns 4

Our sweet baby girl is 4 and I can't believe it. It seems like it was yesterday when we were rushing into the operating room for an emergency c-section. My water had broke at about 2 in the morning. Mike and I rushed to the hospital and got checked in, everything was going fine. I was progressing right along until I started to push, Addie started going into distress, she was coming out face first instead of back of head first and her foot was wrapped around the cord. So everytime I would push her heartrate would drop. Needless to say it scared us and the doctor as well, so I was rushed into a c-section immediately. I had never been so scared and worried, Mike held it together in front of me at least. Once in the operating room Addie's heart rate returned to normal and they proceeded with the surgery. Mike meanwhile had to wait outside the operating room and needless to say was in panic. I can only imagine the things running through his mind as he waited outside for about twenty minutes which probably felt like an eternity. When they were all ready to deliver Addie, Mike was able to come in a witness his baby girl being born. I will never forget hearing that first cry. I was completely overjoyed. The next few days in the hospital like true first time parents we didn't let Addie leave our sight. We had her in the room the entire time and when she had to go to the nursery for shots I even followed just to make sure everything went smoothly. Looking back I should have rested when I could at the hospital, but I just couldn't stop staring at our girl. I was absolutely exhausted and excited when I came home from the hospital. Mike nearly had to tie me to the bed to get sleep. From then Addie has grown into a sweet, lovable, a bit emotional at times (Just like her mommy) 4 year old. We are so proud of her and couldn't love her more. She is very aware of this since we kiss on her all the time. She is all girl. If you ask her she will say she loves, pink, rainbows, butterflies and wants a pony. She figure he can just live in our back yard.

My baby is 2

Court turned 2 May 14th! I can't believe he is already two years old. It's amazing how fast he is growing up. He has been a pure joy since he was born. He is such a little cuddler, and mommy is definitely his favorite to cuddle with right now. Whenever we leave someplace he feels the need to say bye and give a hug to EVERYONE there. We call him a lover. He can't stand to be around any arguing he is a peacemaker for sure. He is not the best sleeper at night:( I think he takes after his Daddy there, where Addie is like me as soon as her eyes are closed she is down for the night. He makes us laugh everyday. I could just watch him play for hours. He is my little expression man. He is always making us laugh with his face expressions, he is so animated. If you have spent anytime with him you know what I am talking about. We feel so blessed and lucky to have two healthy children. We could not ask for more. Here are a few of my favorites of my little man. Notice the expressions in all the pictures!!

it's been a long time, I know!

I know it has been forever since I posted anything. I will try to do better and post more frequently but I'm not promising anything. The problem is finding the time, I can always do it after the kids go to bed but I usually just want to go to bed myself by then or watch tv. Something that doesn't require any brain power. Anyways we have been busy since the last time I posted. All of us meet my family in Galveston for my first olympic triathlon in Galveston. My cousin John came up to Frisco last year to do the Stonebriar olymmpic in Mckinney and I decided to try to the sprint length. I loved it. It is so much fun to workout now when I feel like I am working towards some sort of goal and not just because I should. I thought I would challenge myself by doing the Olympic length this time. John did the half ironman, which is very impressive. I think I am going to stick with the sprint length, that way I can just have fun, and get a good workout at the same time. I think my family will also appreciate it, since training for sprint tri's is not that time consuming. Here are some pictures of our Galveston trip. Enjoy

Sorry for the repeat picture, not sure how that happened.
